That was enough to send me down the internet rabbit hole, looking for boating-themed art and objects for a couple of hours. Here are some of my very favorite finds, ranging from home decor to wooden toys:

I always look forward to escaping the Missouri heat and humidity by heading back home to Vermont in the summer. There's nothing I'd rather do than tube down our clear (cold!) rivers, eat real maple creemies, and hike in the woods.

So this mythical universe (in which I get to fantasy shop at 1st Dibs!) is nothing short of miraculous.
I've lived in San Francisco long enough to know that we never get a proper summer, but I'm doing my best to root the season on by making corn-basil pizza, buying thrift store sundresses, and listening to the quintessentially summery (at least to me) Stevie Nicks. Not only does she possess a marvel of a voice and a look that's inspired countless works of art, Ms. Nicks is a talented painter to boot. I had no idea! More

It's hard to classify Judy Maxwell Home. It's kind of a gift shop but it's also a house of curiosities. It's an art gallery where you can also pick up a lifesize talking Power Ranger. Oh, and you might run into owner Joan Cusack, too. More
