All throughout the year I enjoy combing the coastline for pieces of wood polished by the ocean into unusual shapes, soft finishes. The ergonomic warm curves of this handcrafted ash wood mouse reminds me of some of the chunks of wood I've found by the seashore. Constructed from two solid pieces of wood, and then glued together, inside it's all the latest and greatest, with a 2.4 GHz Bluespot wireless mouse (OS X and Windows compatible).
Recently a friend of mine was trying to figure out how to improve their wi-fi reception throughout their apartment. Certain corners were just near deadzones with either no reception or painfully slow wi-fi. Upon asking a few questions, the problem seemed to stem from the location of their Apple Airport Extreme, tucked inside a cabinet in the far corner of their house. I recommended positioning it higher and outside the all-wood cabinet. Voila! Improved reception!
MoreThere's something insanely cool about geodesic, faceted pieces. Maybe it's how they manage to look futuristic and crafty at the same time. Or maybe it's the way their many surfaces scatter the light. Or maybe they're just cool. Either way, we want to get in on this.

And even though I've wall mounted my computer monitor and have all my daily office essentials tucked away as clutter-free as possible, I'm always on the hunt for solutions to further optimize space efficiency. This new Quirky sponsored design, the Stashboard, definitely appeals to my small space sensibilities, taking advantage of the space just underneath iMac and Thunderbolt Display users screens...

• Bluelounge Maybe you'll be visiting the parents during spring break and need to get onto their wireless network. Or it could be your grandparents need a little tech support with their internet connection from afar. In either case, you'll need their wi-fi network password. Unfortunately, for a lot of people, the axiom of "out of sight, out of mind" applies all too well with network passwords. So here's a simple tip to give them a cheat sheet...
MoreDo you think you're a good typist? Das Keyboard thinks that if you trained yourself to type without looking at the keyboard you'd become much more proficient. That's precisely why one of their models is all blank keys, so you can train yourself out of the habit of looking. I sat down with one and went through a little typing test at SXSW Interactive to see if they're onto something.
Designed with carpal tunnel sufferers in mind, the KIBARDIN levitating wireless computer mouse, The Bat, is the most futuristic mouse design we've ever seen. Like Marty McFly's hoverboard, The Bat floats above a magnetic base, all in the hopes of relieving "pressure on the median nerve". It also just looks awesome...
