Stenciled walls are increasingly popular features in nurseries and kids' rooms: they are cheap, easy to create, relatively easy to remove (just re-paint), and add a touch of fun. But...what if you can't paint? Well, Emily, who decorated this room for her daughter Pippi, had the perfect solution: decals!

I grew up in an old house: it was 100 years old when I was in high school, which means today it is... slightly older than 100 years old. My parents' house is a beautiful and charming Victorian with stained glass windows, carved woodwork, and the worst shower in the world. Even though I moved out years ago, I still have to remind myself every day that it doesn't take all showers 10 minutes to warm up...

My client wanted to make the most of the space for her two young boys sharing a bedroom, all the while keeping it fun, fanciful, and functional. Since the boys were sharing the room, she also wanted a spot for each boy to call their own. To top off the wishlist, they also needed a spot to sit and do homework. The boys longed for a castle themed room, and their wish was my command!

One is a concept, two is a coincidence, and three, well...that just might be a trend. But we guarantee this is the weirdest trend you'll see all day: home offices sharing space in the master bathroom. 

This is one of my favorite bathroom makeovers that I've ever seen because of the average aesthetic of the room before. There is nothing special about the before bathroom: it could be in my house, your house, your neighbor's house. But the after is breathtakingly serene and simple.

Ernesthon's Minimal Mid-Century Office popped into my Tumblr feed and stopped me dead in my scrolling tracks with its sophistated simplicity. Wow, and the back view is equally impressive, revealing how the front is kept in such orderly fashion.

When I came across Marlowe's room, I fell in love with its bright colors and whimsical bohemian vibe. Like the rest of her mom Drea's home, the room is sunny and filled with fun patterns and thrifted finds. And with the addition of some fun party decorations, little Marlowe probably feels like she's waking up to a celebration each and every day.
