Your Favorite Thing About Your Outdoor Space: I love the harmonious relationship between the garden plantings, the hen habitat and my stewardship. The trimmings from the garden that "don't make the plate" are given to the hens. The corn which casts shade during the heat of the day and also makes a pleasant thick fluttering sound whenever there is a breeze. I underplanted buckwheat, quinoa, flax and amaranth that the hens can forage through the fence and distracts them from the tasty cucumber, squash, beans, etc...

The second thing we love is the mosaic tile wall that covered up a whole lot of sins left from the previous owner.

Your Favorite Thing About Your Outdoor Space: Our favorite thing about our backyard is that it is completely transformable. We eat breakfast and dinner out there as often as possible. We also fold up our table and make fires in our contained fire pit in the colder months. At one point we threw a dinner party and seated 18 people with two rows of chairs down a combination of rectangle card tables. It's such a warm and cozy space to hang out in. The small size of the yard has never kept us from using it to the absolute max!

Your Favorite Thing About Your Outdoor Space: My favorite thing about my porch is that it is very versatile and I can use it for everything at all different times of the day. From first thing in the morning with writing and meditation to doing some art work or paper work checking my email having cocktails or even dinner for up to six people very comfortably. I spend a lot of time observing nature with out the mosquito bites or flies in my food and I can get a little work done too. I love to sit and listen to the rain or summer insects buzzing or watch a thunderous lightening storm.
