Artwork, textiles, collectibles and photos are thoughtfully chosen and carefully placed around her home, surrounding her daily life with memories and inspiration.

After seeing her petite, divided studio in our Small, Cool Contest, I was curious about how the cute, girly pad actually flowed. She has creatively tackled a pretty small space with the use of strategically placed larger pieces as well as personal, joyful details. And she's done it all on a tight budget!

In a leafy corner of Georgetown that is also a quick walk to Dupont Circle, Ryan has made a studio apartment into an efficient home. He has drawn on some of the District's best resources for vintage and antiques while adding contemporary pieces and travel finds. The result is distinctly masculine and simultaneously rustic and refined.

Nestled between Gramercy and Murray Hill, in one of those nebulous neighborhoods of Manhattan, lives Chris Paulsen, a former model with a propensity for modern design. As I first met him in the doorway of his little apartment to conduct our House Tour that day, I couldn't help but blurt out my first question, "Where exactly am I?"

Jose lives in a converted 275 square foot apartment that was added on to the back of his parents family home. He has utilized each and every inch of the space and decorated with modern contemporary finds from Ikea and Craigslist. I was quite impressed that with just the few design and furniture resources he lists, how cohesive and well executed his apartment is. Stepping foot in his home you feel a welcoming sense of warmth, family and friends.

After seeing Matthew Hofmann's Before and After makeover of his retro Airstream trailer, I jumped at the opportunity to photograph it for a full tour. A licensed architect, founder of HofArc, he was able to reconfigure the original bones of this space while refurbishing it, and restoring some of the original charm.

Savannah, a Graduate student in the Architecture-Interior Design program at UCLA is perfecting her love of Interior Decorating. I think it must be a craft she honed in on very early — as she told me her mother often helps her hunt for new pieces for her apartment. Her small but cozy home was seen in the Small Cool Contest, and piqued my interest when I saw how well she created a foyer, just by partitioning off the bed from the front door.
