The designers of the new Black & Decker may have revealed themselves to be big fans of Pokemon with this novel design. And to be honest, we doubt the Orb will outperform a Dyson hand vacuum, but the unique shape might trump it in the style department. The palm sized sphere design seems well suited for someone who wants to keep a hand vacuum around openly at arm's reach; the Orb flaps open on opposite sides, offering the user a handle on one side, the suction nozzle on the other, and closes back up to charge on a 360 degree base. The mini vac is good for 8 minutes of use at a time, designed for touch-up maintenance rather than deep cleaning (perfect for a home office).

It wasn't that long time ago we invited a tidy house guest, the iRobot Scooba 230, for a short stay for review. As much as we liked the one-touch help of the wet/dry hard floor cleaner, it was a device we could equally live with or without.
