I'm still determined to make a decoupaged map letter for my son like Francine did and I've been poking around used bookstores for a great old map. I've found some, but they were on the musty side and the colors were too faded for my taste. Then I remembered that Cavallini makes some great map wrapping paper which further reminded me how great (and cheap!) their wrapping paper is for framing as art. We've written about this before, but it never hurts to refresh our collective memory. The first group of images above are examples of Cavallini papers framed and hung in nurseries and kids' rooms. The second are some examples of paper Cavallini sells - maps, natural history, ABCs, all vintage. The final image is a great alternative to framing them. Christy of The Adventure That Is Life made hers look like old school charts - see how she did it here.
Where to find Cavallini papers? Lots of stationery and paper stores carry them. If you can't find them locally, your two best online sources are Kate's Paperie and Touch of Europe (about $4.50 a sheet).
No space to fill on your walls? Jackie used them as drawer liners and now her undies are in Paris!
