What do you like best about your workspace?
I like to consider my workspace "organized chaos". It looks messy and there is really no effort in cable management but everything is where I need it to be. My Mac is used or graphic design and everyday use, my custom PC tower for games and my drawing station for sketchbooks, collage and painting. All of these mediums are a hands reach away and it makes it very convenient when working on multiple projects. I prefer having a large monitor and an adaptor rather than an iMac because I can take my laptop with me to meet a client and then come home and turn it into a desktop. It's the best of both worlds. I also enjoy having dual monitors on both computers.Your favourite tech tool and why?
I really enjoy my Wacom tablet and my Blue Lounge Space Station USB hub. It's a beautifully designed simple product with multiple functions. It hides cables, promotes airflow, offers 3 extra USB ports and put the keyboard at a perfect typing angle turning my laptop into what feels like a desktop space.
Any tips or advice about keeping your desk area and/or computer desktop uncluttered and a productive place to work?
From time to time, go down to your local smoke shop and ask for extra cigar boxes they may be throwing away. They make for great storage and are uniquely decorative due to their different packaging. I use them for pens, sketchbooks and markers. They smell good too. I also love using multiple shelves to clear space.
If give the opportunity, what would you like to upgrade/replace/improve about where you work? Hardware, software, furnishings, lighting?
Right now, I am working out of my bedroom. I would love to turn this into its own room in the future, an actual office with another small desk for a printer/scanner and a couch.

Furniture and Decorative Resource List (please be specific with brands/models)
My desk was built on a college budget. The main elements are the GALANT corner desk from IKEA, with 2 side extensions and 2 IKEA brand TERTIAL desk mounted lamps. Everything furniture wise totaled less than $300. The lamps themselves are $9.00 individually and I highly recommend them. I use Box shelves from IKEA that my old college roommate gave me to store hard drives and art supplies. I have made a small table to make my main monitor higher and have also made an iPhone dock out of a MINI DV tape case. Under the desk I have multiple blue lounge cable drop clips and a paper towel holder from dollar tree screwed into the bottom.
Any information about your space and how you work within it?
My desk seems very cluttered but I feel I managed to work well with the space I was given. Considering how much equipment I have on my desk, it is pretty easy to work around. There is a station for each project or hobby and I am very pleased. You can visit my online portfolio at www.cbcoombsvisual.com if you would like to see any of my artwork. Thanks!
