We like the rough aesthetic of this dining table from CB2, made of wood reclaimed from Indian railroad cars...
The wood is pieced together into a top, which is notched to receive two steel legs. This is not a slickly polished piece, and we like that: the legs have exposed welds, and the wood top is left unfinished. The price is a reasonable $899 plus delivery.

I own this table...it's absolutely beautiful and we get so many comments on it. We sealed it w/ tung oil but if you read the many comments on this table on the cb2 site some people used beeswax. Substantial, simple and green.
