Many of my friends have digitized their music collections and are left with a bunch of cds that they either have to sell or donate to charity. I've got a ton of old cds and dvds from file burning fails and never knew what to do with them ... until now!
Sean Avery, a children's book illustrator and artist, who uses only recycled materials for his sculptures. And use them, he certainly has. These are masterpieces to behold!
You can see the gallery of work and price list on his portfolio site.

That's stunning!
What a beautiful, clever way to use old CD's! Thanks for sharing this!!
Ummmmm, masterpiece, YEAH!!!!!!
Sadley, the images did not load when I went to his site so I'm sad I could not see the rest of his collection. If the rest of his sculptures are as beautiful as this hummingbird, then they are well worth it. Truly beautiful and love that he recycles.
I'm curious to know what the beak is made from?
This is gorgeous! My Mommy loves hummingbirds and this would be a really awesome gift for her.
That finish is well suited to forming humming birds. It also would be be good in butterflies.
Love the hummingbird and the cat. Gorgeous work, very creative!
Genius!
I want him to make a dragon. The medium is ideal for scales.
This is beautiful, thanks for sharing!
