No matter the style, a child's bedroom must be comfortable and cozy above all else. One of the easiest (and most magical) ways to cozy up the bed is a canopy.
For a modern take a on the traditional canopy bed, try bed curtains. Instead of being mounted on a canopy bed, these curtains look great hung from the ceiling. You can use a combination of standard curtain rods mounted on the ceiling to create this look. The result is dreamy and cozy, but clean. And best of all this works with a regular bed and can be taken down whenever preferences change.

I would have died for that room as a child. Gorgeous.
I've always loved this look but not necessarily with a canopy bed.
I like that the 'drapping' is at the head and foot of the bed instead of on the sides. Nicely done indeed.
Here's my gown-up version!

Look a bit more grand if you have 20 foot ceilings
Thats nice and economical for a sweet lil princess.
Patrick-yours is awesome.
This is the best way to put your bed *not* against a wall.
Thank you, Leitho!
pretty!! if i were a kid....i would be swinging from those! just accident waiting to happen
Great, what a quick and reasonable way to get the look without the commitment of a four poster canopy!
Patrick, Loving your bedroom! It's great how they curve just around the head area, enough to make it cozy but they're not getting in the way either. Stylish and elegant look.
great idea! would love to do this for my niece.
I would have died for that room as a child.
.... Who am I kidding?? I'd die for that now!
I'm with you, Cashew! Maybe when I move again.
Love it! That apartment screams Paris, I think it's beautiful.
I've seen this done in Ikea displays at the store and I really like it. It can be done very easily with regular curtain hardware.
We saw it at Ikea too, and tried to do it in our room. It just screamed hospital bed to me somehow, so ended up taking it down. Lovely how it looks here.
So pretty. I might have to have another baby... fingers crossed its a girl this time so i can do something this lovely.
