Decorating for St. Patrick's Day, although fun, tends to center around rather cheesy items. Funky little leprechauns and pots of gold and although traditional, we're not so into small men with money problems. Instead, we like Kyla's take on the day and plan on celebrating it with rainbows! Check out this fun diy idea!
Kyla had planned on putting together some buttons for a Valentine's Day project and didn't quite get the time. So instead, she whipped up this fun button rainbow graphic. That's right, graphic. She didn't spend her time digging through jars of old buttons (though you most certainly could) and just pieced photos of them together on her computer.
One print out later and she has some fun decor and since there's no other holiday that allows you to decorate with rainbows, we're nominating St. Patrick's Day to be that day. Do you have buttons at home waiting to be used? Find a dusty zip top bag at the thrift store that was overflowing with them? This is the perfect craft to use them on, make one big or small or get busy cutting and pasting in Photoshop and you won't have a needle or thread to deal with! Check out the details over at Funky Polkadot Giraffe where you can see more of this fun print.

I love that and I think I'll try it with my toddler, who loves buttons.
Fantastic -- we just made a near-identical project to this to celebrate 100 days of school with our kindergartner. She LOVED all the counting, sorting + rainbow arranging. Ours is found here: http://teamcraunchatter.blogspot.com/2011/02/rainbows-and-unicorns.html
I'll do this with my son, who loves rainbows!
I love all these rainbow themed St. Patrick's Day stuff- so many ideas to do with him- keep them coming please!
I wonder, does the blogger have a tutorial for the ribbon shamrock used on the frame? That is cute too!
