In our celeb corner this morning we're taking a look at the gadgets some of the state's famous (and infamous) personalities have scored of late. Above are Paris Hilton and her BF Benji Madden leaving the Apple store with an Air for the lady and a Pro (Macbook Pro that is) for the lad. We love how nonchalant they look after putting down $3K. We usually leave the Apple store with a look of both euphoria and terror.

Last month we found out that John Mayer is one of the first to test out Blackberry's new smartphone, the Bold, after he boasted about getting the Macbook Air before everyone else. 
So we're wondering, if you were famous and had all the right gadget connections and a boatload of money to spend on gizmos, what would you be asking for? The iPhone 3G perhaps?

$3000? Try at least $4000 total (the Air is gonna run around $2000 with tax and a MBP starts at $2000).

...and to answer the question, it sounds like Mayer has pretty saavy connections. I'll just take whatever he's getting (i.e.: any and everything from Apple). :-)
Not sure what I would buy, but I would definitely have an assistant go buy it for me! Is this a PR gimmick, or do these people honestly have nothing better to do that stand around a Mac store?
Paris thought the MacBook Air would make an awesome trivet.
If that's the kind of d-bad trash hanging out at the Mac Store, I'll stick to online ordering.
