The idea of a radiator humidifier is elegantly simple and efficient — by regularly filling it withe water and placing it on a hot radiator, steam helps humidify the dry winter air. A new collection of ceramic radiators from Il Coccio Design employ the design genius of Patricia Urquiola, Alfredo Haberli and others for ceramic humidifiers that double as objet d'art.
The collection is an extension of the Fischietto design by Achille Castiglioni in 1998. The relaunch of this design is the centerpiece to the new collection.

I just keep a glass of water on near the heating vent, within 7 days all the water evaporates. So buying these 'Ceramic Humidifier' is such a waste of money! Actually we don't even need to buy those regular expensive humidifies, my trick works great! I got this idea from my dreaded chem class and my prof thought I was genius for coming up this idea!
We use colored latte bowls from Anthropologie, 2 on each radiator, full of water. They're super cheap - usually $5 to $8!
Heh, we have ancient steam radiators, with the little vents on the side.
In cold weather, condensation is a much bigger problem than dryness. Unlike old hot-water radiators, a humidifier is the LAST thing we need. We're considering getting a dehumidifier, though.
Pretty, but seems like a waste of money. I usually put a damp hand towel over the radiator at night. Works like a charm. A ceramic baking dish filled with water would also work.
my heaters are radiused at the top so for me, it's not as easy as just putting a glass of water (or bowl for that matter) on top - I wish i had one of the flat top heaters - they're HOT!
Is anyone else being prevented from seeing the article b/c of the blackberry ad? I don't seem to have a close button.
I should have said that it doesn't seem to have a close button.
