Q: I have a very low couch. It sits at 15 inches and the arms sit at 24. I've been looking for a chair to go with it for ages, but everything seems to dwarf the couch. Any recommendations? I've got a MCM-inspired vibe going on, if it helps. Love the womb chair, but it's way out of my budget.

CB2 has a couple lounge chairs that might work. Take a look at the Triumph or the Cloud 16. Their prices do seem to have gone up lately.
I don't think your arm chairs need to be the same height however, my entire livingroom set was purchased on CraigsList and it's that bamboo/rattan material you normally see in a sunroom. Those are low to the ground so you may look at sunroom furniture if you don't find anything at CB2 or Ikea.

Consider getting a chair that your old auntie or boss's dad can get in (and out of) easily: high, firm seat, firm arms, not extremely deep or slanted. Sooner or later a creaky old person will be there. Be kind!
