Q: I am slowly making domestic improvements to my DC rental. I've been trying to find a chair or two for my living room, which is tilting midcentury modern. I cannot believe how a hard it is to find a decent chair! I've got this idea of what I want but hadn't had luck finding it until I happened upon a clip from the Today Show featuring the chair of my dreams. The lines, the color, etc. -- this is it! Can you help me find information about it?

Editor: Barbara- we share your love for these fabulous chairs with such great lines. We're hoping some of our savvy readers might know the source; we also recommend checking out the Boden and Cole chairs from Room and Board as they have a similar modified mid-century vibe.

I think the Quinn from Room & Board is even closer, if not the actual chair. I've been eyeing it for my own living room.
Definitely the Quinn. I own 2. Very comfortable.
I'm looking at the Quinn right now...sure looks the same to me. But you can't beat the indigo velvet.
While we're on the Today Show, can anyone identify that fabulous coffee table the anchors usually sit around? (not the one in this photo). I am not a fan of coffee tables in general, but I absolutely love that table. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Thanks for the responses, I'm the one who asked the question. Besides the Quinn, I also love the Cole! I have to say, I've been clicking back and forth and it seems like the Today Show chairs are a slightly different from the Quinn, but the Quinn is absolutely close enough to consider. So thanks!Room & Board is supposed to open in D.C. next year. Woo hoo for that.
myredchair,
that table by isamu noguchi - you can find it at design within reach, I think maybe even the MoMA store? I saw it on AT-DC Scavenger!

I don't know where you are based, but if it's still available from this buyer (2 months ago now, though) it's a steal!
