Name:
Charles
Location:
West Hollywood, CA
Division:
Warm
Inspiration for my palette:
Orange is an energetic, passionate color that has been a longtime favorite. The original white mirror/vanity wall was transformed to its current vibrant orange color after viewing an online image featuring a similar "All White" bathroom with an "orange" mirror/vanity wall. The "Pale Aqua Sky" ceiling was inspired by the swimming pool "Aqua Blue" located right outside by the window.
Colors used in my room:
Cloud White, Sunset Orange, Pale Aqua Sky
Tips for using color successfully:
Walls, flooring, ceiling, furniture, fixtures, accents and accessories are all separate color "layers" that combine together to create ONE finished room. Using a limited palette range of orange and white connects each "layer" finishing the bathroom with a clean, crisp, cohesive look. Additional or too many colors would clutter up the small space. Eclectic color mixes with a broader palette "layer" best in medium and larger sized rooms. My personal preference...use bold/bright and deep/dark colors on one accent wall.
