Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Charley just turned one and I wanted to create a space that was appropriate for her now, but could also grow along with her. I wanted it to be a space that I enjoyed being in because, well, I spend lots of time in there with her.
Before I could start the fun part of decorating, I painted all the woodwork white to give it a fresh, updated look. Then I painted chalkboard paint below the chair rail. Black is a great backdrop, and who doesn't love a chalkboard? I DIY'ed art for the walls, the big floor pillow, the ribbon chandelier, and the book tree. This space was done on a budget and I'm so happy with the results. Enjoy!
