Name: Charles (1 month)
Location: Lake Zurich, IL
We were inspired by Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. My mother made baby Charlie the hungry caterpillar quilt, and I made matching curtains. We wanted to create a bright and bold nursery that wasn't too dark.
So we painted navy on one of the walls and kept the rest of the room white. I found this gorgeous yellow and white zig-zag rug at Urban Outfitters for a splash of color. I made the banner with Charlie's name out of paper and ribbon and the alphabet mobile out of felt. I also painted a custom painting of our dog for the dresser. I wanted the traditional Jenny Lind crib and changing table and found Hungry Caterpillar sheets from Pottery Barn.
Charlie just loves his room!
Thanks, Elizabeth! Well done!

So cute! I just love the alphabet mobile, too!
Love the dog painting. :)
Love the bright, contrasting colours all over the place. LOVE the bookcase!
Cool! I just bought the same fabrics to make a friend's baby a blanket -- looks great! Love the bright colors.
How bright and cheery!
I love the Hungry Caterpillar too! Beautiful quilt and curtains. You all did a great job. :)
That is beyond cute. I love everything, especially the name Charles!
I love the rug - where is it from? I know people are saying chevron is so over, but I love it.
@alainnotebook I think it is from Urban Outfitters http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=20659470
Can you please tell me the paint colors you used?
