I hate to be a safety grump, but that silly putty is made with borax. Borax has some safety concerns, particularly if kids eat it.

I love the general idea though. If you're worried about your kids eating it you could do the same thing with orange playdough!
Please print more of this! I've been researching non-candy items. Yes, I agree, this putty is not for little ones since it contains glue in addition to Borax!
I'm going to try making it using homemade playdoh dyed orange.

(I'm all about candy, but want more than candy in my kids' baskets.)
In parts of the word where they can't afford salt, people use Borax to flavour their food instead.
You have to eat quite a bit of it to be toxic, so don't worry about my kids ingesting a little bit of it, I just make sure they eat before they play :).
