A Collection of Beautifully Handcrafted Film Cameras

Although film photography has all but faded into a niche category of photography in the era of digital cameras and camera phone photography, there's still a vibrant enthusiast community dedicated to the art of capturing images using film. I didn't realize how enthusiastic they were until I saw the array of beautiful homemade cameras, some fashioned with lovely carved pieces of wood...

All these examples were gathered from Large Format Photography Forum, a site for photography enthusiasts who are continuing the tradition of capturing images using film, from small DIY handheld point and shoots to old timey bellows large format cameras. The level of craft and care that goes into these cameras is inspiring. For example, check out this all American Black Walnut encased point and shoot with a cheap-y 65mm ƒ/8 Super Angulon (sort of ironic such a premium looking finish is partnered with such a low end lens).
