When one thinks of the typical modern, well-curated Apartment Therapy nursery, the "Happy Modern" vibe might come to mind. With clean lines, vivid color, and a dose of humor for good measure, these rooms provide a cheerful and imaginative setting for childhood.
Hallmarks might include an Eames rocker, graphic walls and a requisite pop of orange. But these parents have made the rooms truly unique, and we think (hope!) you'll especially enjoy this roundup.

My problem with all the children's room posts is none look like children really live there. Why make it so unfunctional for the child? It is supposed to be their room, not the parent's.
I think all of these rooms look like children live there (except that they've been tidied up before the photo was taken). Toys and fun things on the shelves, rugs for playtime. Just because the room is organized in the photo doesn't mean it's "unfunctional"
Holy Cow, the Atomic Alien Invasion room is incredible!!
@ToothlessPoodle -- my post exactly!!
I have seen the word "curate" misused pretentiously three times today -- and this post makes four!
Agreeing w/Almond Joy on the overuse/misuse of "curate."
Homes (and esp. children's rooms, for goodness sake) are not -- or SHOULD not be -- museums.
