Name: Jacob (8 months)
Location: Toronto, Canada
Color Inspiration: The inspiration of this cozy cheerful nursery came from the wallpaper on the focal wall. It is bold in colour and rich in pattern, but gender neutral and not juvenile. To compliment the happy yellow in the paper, pops of blue and peacock green, along with accents of neutrals such as white, cream, and brown, were mixed into the overall colour scheme.
Tip for Using Color: Listen to your heart when picking the jumping-off point. Don't be afraid of what may seem too bold. As long as you love it, that is all that matters. After all, it is used in small doses or simple-to-remove application (e.g., focal wall, pillows). If you back away from what you love and pick something else, the space will just be safe, and you will always wonder what the room would look like if you had gone for your number 1 choice.
Colors Used: Primarily yellow with complimentary colors including blue, green, brown, white, and grey.
Thanks for your colorful entry Eric and good luck!

loooove the wallpaper! Where is it from?
I would love to know where the rug is from! I really like all of the little details like the knobs on the dresser and trim on the lamp.
This is so elegant, it belongs in a magazine spread. It's bright and bold but still so serene. Beautiful job
the rug is ikea, i bought it in the as-is section of ikea for 70 dollars! its a little dusty, but great.. wondering the best route to clean it? aside from professional cleaning, any ideas?
Adorable. I'd love to know the source for the wallpaper.
Gorgeous room that appears to mix "high" and "low" priced items so well.
I'd love to sleep in it myself!
Too funny, I also have a room in this contest with that same rug, which I also purchased in the "as is" section of Ikea! Mine is a bit dusty too, but I think yours is lovely with that fabulous wallpaper. :)
I love this room! By far my favorite that I have seen! I think we will be seeing this room again as one of the front runners.
Can you please let me know where the dresser knobs are from?
Also the coral picture on the dresser and the colorful storage bins next to the crib?
This room is beautiful!
Can I know where you got the alphabet pillow?
I love your small features---rug, pillow, wallpaper. This room has a nice splash of color with lots of personal accents! My current fav!
And I want to know where the two round storage bins/extra seats are from! What a great room!
I love the mix of color an pattern...great job! Where did u get those hat boxes? I love them....they really bring the room together!
Thanks everyone! Sorry I wasn't here earlier to answer some of the questions. I didn't know the entry was up on Dec 2!
The rug is from Ikea, the knobs are from anthropologie, the ABC pillow is from pi'lo, the storage boxes were custom, the coral picture is from HomeSense, and the wallpaper is available through Primetime Wallpaper Toronto.
Hope I make it to final!
Where did you get the light fixture. And I'm curious how you managed to cover the corkboard with doggie fabric and still leave the frame around the edge. Did you cut a piece of fabric that fitted the space exactly, or did you take the board apart?
Really unusual use of pattern. I think it's such a nice change from pale, understated nurseries. Jacob is going to be one cool kid.
