In honor of our November theme of all things food-related, check out these yummy Cheerio treats. We don't always have Rice Krispies, but what house with young children doesn't have Cheerios in the pantry? This great idea for a treat came from Let's Explore.
Just follow the same recipe for Rice Krispie treats substituting Cheerios instead. And if you want to make something extra special, press them into a shaped muffin tin.

you can also dye them with food coloring and shape with cookie cutters.
One of my other most favorite Cheerio treats is hot toasted cheerios. Melt some butter in a skillet and toss in some cereal. stir with a wooden spoon until done. Great for when popcorn would also be good. Even works with slightly stale Cheerios.
I like these with m&ms mixed in. :-)
what a clever idea! why is it that sometimes the best ideas are so obvious and take us so long to figure out!? will have to try this over the weekend with the kids.
I actually like these better than regular rice krispie treats.
