Jared sent in a good question: "We have recently decided to purchase a vintage chair and need a bit of help deciding on a fabric/color to reupholster it. Currently the only other furniture that we have is the Rochelle couch from Gus Modern in Gosford (shown below the jump), which reads as a dusty greenish/grey, and a media console in black...

The walls of our apartment are white and the floors are bamboo. We would have kept the original fabric but trust me, it's much different in person. Think very worn, nubbly, orange and black. We're leaning towards a lighter cream textured fabric since we want to show off the great teak arm rests and figure a lighter color will resist fading from our large windows. Can you think of a less boring option that will compliment the couch and the console?

Super looking chair - wonderful find! Our first thought is that a patterned upholstery would would be fantastic on that chair. A bold, happy print (think Marimekko) would be a great choice to lighten it up and modernize it.
