i got a great sideboard this weekend at Edgewater Antique Mall on broadway.
Belmont in Roscoe Village has a least 3 Antique stores with amazing mid century pieces, my fav is the Night and Day Vintage.
if you are looking for a good price Craig's List is the way to go or Search Ebay and narrow your results to places within 50 miles of your location
Who designed the sideboard in the pic. Anyone know?
Hi, check out my vintage shopping guide at Strange Closets for store photos and profiles. It's updated frequently as I make my way across the city.

While you might pay a little more than edgwater or even broadway antique market, White Attic on Clark, I think, has great pieces. The advantage there is that all of the furniture is refinished. While the prices there are a little higher than an antique market, they are a lot lower than some of the other high end vintage furniture stores. If you want some furniture that is a little more industrial, try Scout a few doors down. I bought a cool deco style lamp for 290 and happened to see it a month later an Niemans for 600 dollars! They get some cool things before they become popular. Both Places are great and my two favorite stores.
post 27!!! it's an amazing store on grand and wood with gorgeous mid-century pieces at a reasonable price. the owners are friendly and not at all pretentious. so many treasures there...
healthyhome, thanks. I've seen that sideboard (and pieces like it) a lot but never knew who it was.
Post 27 on Grand and Wood. I know the owners but they really do have nice stuff at completely affordable prices.
