Josh sent us an email about this artwork: Does anyone know who this painting is by, or painters who do similar work (possibly inexpensively). Or any good links to where to buy some good wall art, I don't really care if it's just printed canvas or painted, but I really like the lines.

I'm not sure who the above artist might be, but check out Gibbs Rounsavall (www.gibbsrounsavall.com) or Bryce Hudson (www.brycehudson.com). Lines galore!
I see a DIY here.... tubes of acrylic paint on large canvas
Josh,
A good source for large, reasonably-priced canvases is:
www.md-canvas.com
Their work is available in several sizes. The jumbo 58" X 43" runs $379 shipped.
Check out their piece titled "Ultra," it's a bit similar to the artwork pictured above:

thanks for the links so far. if anyone else knows of similar work or anything else, Thanks.
i would love for it to be a DIY, but i really have no painting ability. I know it's random lines, but i just veer away from paint. any other medium, and I'm fine, but paint and i just do not get along. It's pretty much the only course i stayed away from in school.
You could create this digitally and have the image output on canvas or something.
Lines are cool -- see this The Gallery post from a while back. Scott Ingram. he does his lines in nail polish...

Where did you originally get the picture to post? I love it!
Is the black figure part of it or just the lines?
I'm a graphic designer and the image is one I got from a client. This is the major reason, I blacked out the person. I don't want to get in trouble, but I really wanted to know about the painting.
Along with having a lot more beautiful artwork in the law office this is at, there are also barcelona chairs everywhere in a reddish brown leather. You can see the guy leaning against a small piece of one.
isn't that the artist that drips fingernail polish down a canvas? i feel like i read about her recently and thats exactly what the pieces looked like...sorry i can't come up with a name.
It looks similar to Marcus Linnenbrink's work, though his tend to be more vividly colored and textural. And not inexpensive.
If you don't like paint, how 'bout some nice fat art markers and a ruler? Pastels on paper would be cool also.
