I have never used a lot of pink in my home decor, even my four-year-old daughter's room is mostly apple green, but right now I am loving the stylish combination of pink, grey and white. Using pink accents to pop out against neutral grey and white seems to create a look that is polished and playful. (And pretty close to perfection...)
The color pink cultivates a feeling that is nurturing, compassiate, and feminine. Pink is a mellower, softer variation of powerful and passionate red mixed with the innocence and openness of white. Too much pink can tend to be overstimulating (neon pink headache anyone?), but used as an accent it can look sophisticated and refreshing.
Pink bedroom? I would have said never. That is, until I was on Pinterest (aka...Whoops! Did I Really Browse Beautiful Bedrooms for Three Hours?
) the other day and fell in love with this stunning pink, white, and grey loft bedroom in a downtown Madrid apartment. (Head over to Fresh Home
to view the entire post and more gorgeous photos of the space.)
Now I am dreaming about a bedroom makeover that includes: white linens, grey walls, hot pink accents, and a magical snooze machine that gets my kids to sleep until 9am. (It's a dream, remember?)
