I have never used a lot of pink in my home decor, even my four-year-old daughter's room is mostly apple green, but right now I am loving the stylish combination of pink, grey and white. Using pink accents to pop out against neutral grey and white seems to create a look that is polished and playful. (And pretty close to perfection...)
The color pink cultivates a feeling that is nurturing, compassiate, and feminine. Pink is a mellower, softer variation of powerful and passionate red mixed with the innocence and openness of white. Too much pink can tend to be overstimulating (neon pink headache anyone?), but used as an accent it can look sophisticated and refreshing.
Pink bedroom? I would have said never. That is, until I was on Pinterest (aka...Whoops! Did I Really Browse Beautiful Bedrooms for Three Hours?) the other day and fell in love with this stunning pink, white, and grey loft bedroom in a downtown Madrid apartment. (Head over to Fresh Home to view the entire post and more gorgeous photos of the space.)
Now I am dreaming about a bedroom makeover that includes: white linens, grey walls, hot pink accents, and a magical snooze machine that gets my kids to sleep until 9am. (It's a dream, remember?)

Thanks for the shout out! Amazing, we love your site :) We are always inspired!
photo 1 is from micasarevista.com. (and the home is in madrid, not berlin, it's a spanish homes magazine) that rug was in zara home's summer 2011 ethnic collection.

I am in love with the third picture. That fridge!
It has to be the right pinks, whites, and grays to look good, which is harder than it sounds.
Our dining room is this color combo! Gotta love a husband who supports fuschia/magenta/honeysuckle curtains.

I don't even like pink and I like that first picture. The grey is what really adds the sophistication, the whole color palette makes me think of Paris.
@Lady J - thanks so much for the correction...I fixed it to say Madrid. i am so in love with that apartment!
@jess13 - i totally agree with you...pink is not my favorite, but i am loving that combo.
I've never liked pink, but I recently found myself drooling over a picture on Pinterest (curse you Pinterest for stealing all my free time!) that had pops of bright pink. Now I find myself wanting to add pink accessories to my home. It's something in the air. Love the pics in the post.
oh, me too.
I'm not really a big pink person either, but these are all beautiful. I LOVE the 3rd one; it's just the vibrant punch of colour that space needed.
I agree that it's a hard color combo to get right, but the pictures you've chosen are all really good examples. Bravo!
Any guess as to the pink-gray color on the wall in the first bedroom?
that color (wall and wall cabinet) looks beige to me.
ooohhh I need that pink lamp in the 2nd picture, anyone know where I might find it?
I like what you did with the space, and how the three colors together, very sweet. But for some strange reason I get a little dizzy seeing pink details everywhere I turn. Therefore, I would not intentionally force a colored detail trough the house, it's a bit trying too hard to be everywhere. I am guessing, no man lives there?
@irenamm, It's not all the same house. They' images are from five different sources as described in the post.
I would know that profile anywhere - the refrigerator is Smeg. I kept a picture of a pink Smeg in my design file forever! someday....
I have a dining room with 3 dove gray walls, one black dusty chalkboard wall, white trim, and hot pink accents. It works really well as the connecting room between my light pink kitchen and turquoise living room.
