Last Thursday, the Basil Hayden Tastemakers Design Chicago competition culminated in a combination final judging session, winner naming and cocktail party. Guests gathered at the event held at the Crimson Lounge to check out the top three entries and cast a vote. Hosted by Nate Berkus, the party was busy, busy, busy...

The three designs that made it to this final round were a chandelier by Rion Stassi, a chair by Sarah Tranum and a table by Bryan Lump. They were all displayed at the event for voting, with the chandelier winning the $10,000 top prize (complete with the classic "big check"! - see below).

Hot, hot, hot!
Nope, not Nate - The check!
Nate AND the check should have been the first prize. They look cute together.
I'd take the blue-eyed silver fox.
AND the check.
Who cares about the light fixture when there's human eye candy to look at!
My votes are for Rion and the Silvered hair hottie!!
It's friday, aren't we allowed to misbehave?
AND... isn't it ALWAYS Friday *somewhere*???
Mmmmmmmm.
Awww, those guys' wives must be very proud of them. 8^)
NATE!!! Love me some Nate!
I wonder how he looked before then!
as usual, Nate is linked to boring design (but I'll agree as to the check).
