If you're on the lookout for Chicago-inspired art for your home, this might be the answer. Through June 3, the Chicago Printmakers Collaborative is hosting The Chicago Show: Tracks, Cable, Sky and Lake, featuring work by resident printers Hiroshi Ariyama, Michael Goro, Dennis O'Malley, and Jerry Svoboda. We recently stopped by the collaborative, an artistic community hub in Lincoln Square. Run since 1989 by Deborah Maris Lader, the CPC provides workspace for local printmakers, as well as classes, workshops, and community-wide events. The studio walls rotate works for various Chicago-centric exhibitions, and it's insightful seeing work displayed in the same room where it's made, allowing visitors to gain insight into the printmaking process.
