Fresh Wave Air Neutralizers

freshwavB103008.jpgPrefer fresh air to air fresheners? When it's not the time nor place for even the fanciest candle, the Fresh Wave odor-neutralizing product line clears the air. It neuters the musty from your front-loader, and says it even stands up to flood, fire or mutt.

freshwaveprod103008.jpgFresh Wave uses electrostatic molecules to grab the nasty-smelling ones and whisk them away without masking scents. Great for those with allergies, sensitivities or just households who disagree on what smells good.

Created by a industrial maker, Fresh Wave claims the wherewithall to conquer flood or fire damage as well as standard basement/pet/cooking smells. And it's made of natural extracts of lime, pine needles, aniseed, clove and cedar wood.

The product line includes typical air care like a soy candle ($13.95) and spray ($9.95/8 oz.). More intriguing possibilities include a full pet line, Odor Neutralizing Crystals (14.95) and an All-Purpose Cleaning Additive ($19.80). That's the one that clears the washer or other appliances, as well as neutralize ammonia and other chemical odors.

In other words, a cleaning product to clean up after the cleaning products.

I use the crystals in the basement, which tends to get stuffy in the winter and is where I keep a litter box for my cats. I think it works really well, but I'm not sure why.

you know, out of context, that picture with the sauté pan and the cat would look really disturbing/funny.

This is one of the few products like this that I don't find offensive. The odor is actually kind of pleasant. I don't find it to be chemical at all - I take issue with so many products that believe I want my house to smell like a scented tampon. It sounds like they have a few new products since I bought my stuff last year.

I've had pretty good luck with this. When my SO visits, we hang his smoky/stale clothes (he lives above a smoker) in the closet, spray a little of thism put a little packet of the stuff in there and the smoke smell is gone in a few hours.

On the down side, I think it is pretty expensive.

I think there might be Tea Tree oil in the spray which is not good for cats FYI.

I just make my own, I bought the same spray bottle so I can keep reusing it, bought essential oli-lavendar, added alcohol and mixed with water. You need to shake before you use but it smells very clean and does the trick.

My dearly departed cat had peeing issues before she died. The Fresh Wave carpet shake worked miracles.
