0302_as2.jpgAS Hanging Systems is a Montreal-based company that offers a variety of cable hanging systems. You might see systems like this used in galleries or commercial spaces, but they're even an option for use in the home...

They make it easy for you to order components yourself with online ordering available to both Canada and the U.S. We think AS Hanging Systems would be a great option for hanging on paneled walls or a difficult-to-work-with surface like brick (as shown up top). Their pricing is readily available online and appears to be pretty reasonable.

This is super useful in Montreal. Many of the homes in my neighborhood have original stone walls.

and it makes it easier to try different of organizing picture.

I am personally thinking of using one of those forged iron hook stand for plants to hold a picture/mirror in a corner at an angle; behind a bed at an angle

I really need a system like this but the cost is prohibitive. Anyone know of something similar but cheaper? I have to hang a lot of pieces on one wall.

I'm not sure about cheaper, but I prefer this Japanese hanging system:

It should be possible to do it yourself, especially if the pieces aren't too heavy

artymoi, try http://www.walkerdisplay.com/ - some of the parts may be cheaper although not by much.

You might call AS Hanging. It seems I have seen some retail store here in Chicago with a display of their product. This would allow you to see it first hand. Buying it local might save you some ka-ching as well.
