Folded Paper Interiors by Simon Schubert

Here's a way of illustrating interiors that we've never seen before. German artist Simon Schubert creates "drawings" of interiors by simply folding white paper...

Simon Schubert's works include mostly interiors of hallways and stairs, with repetitive elements marching back in perspective. We're loving the "reflections" folded into mirrors and the 3D quality the folds give the paper. See the rest of Schubert's work here.

Absolutely amazing. This sort of reminds me of the papercut sculptures by Peter Callesen, but the ones above are even more subtle and delicate:

Loved the website. It would be wonderful having a collection of these creatively matted and framed.

That is totally crazy. I mean, it's truly awesome, but it kind of hurts my eyes, too, looking at all the detail in low contrast. I have to imagine the guy who does this has a touch of the OCD.

These are awesome... when I looked on his site at how many there are, they start to look like creepy ghost houses. And then I looked at his other work and it's some of the creepiest creepy things... They made me feel... funny.
