Framed Birch Tree Mural from Pottery Barn

103108mural1.jpgBesides loving the color scheme of this room, the set of two framed birch tree prints is a warm decor choice (especially if birch in other forms doesn't suit you). And if mustard yellow walls don't either, here's a more neutral scheme that still allows these prints to command the room:

The framed birch tree mural is on sale for $299.99 (down from $399). Each print measures 20 x 60” h and is presented in a black wooden frame.

The price is high but I really love those murals in a way I usually don't with PB stuff. Are they behind glass?

They are beautiful!!!
The birch is sometimes regarded as the queen of the forest.

I found my pretty (and more affordable) bamboo forest wall mural here:
http://www.designyourwall.com/store/Bamboo-Forest-wall-mural-wallpaper-4-part-372-pr-2501.html

and my other forest mural here:

I simply hung them on the wall with velcro dots so I can switch them around (which I've done a few times) whenever I need to make changes around the walls.

Oops, I provided the wrong link to my other mural (second link):

The slender size created a perfect head board for my bed.

Oh my gosh, these are truly gorgeous! I was fooled for a second and thought they were real trees from a window. Ha. I want!

Sorry, but for me they actually have a Thomas Kinkade feel.

I don't know, they look like Trembling Aspen to me. Faux pas!

Don't like them. They remind me of those awful walpaper forest murals from the 70's.

Ooooo, they look a little "garage sale" to me...in a bad way.

These are kinda nice... but they also make me think of the group of photos that one big one is a flower and the two on the side are vases, there all the same scene but they are broken up by the frames so you have to put them in a row, and you buy them at Walmart (my grandma has them)

I think I'd rather get some nice prints from an artist or some wallpaper that looks like trees

I'm pretty sure my childhood dentist had that same print as wallpaper in his office.

I usually love Pottery Barn things, but this one isn't kickin' it for me.

OOH!!! Ding! I checked the DesignYourWall.com link and found the perfect solution for my problem. -One of those giant doorbell nooks with 7 feet long brass tubes. Frame one of these panels out and hang it over the whole dang thing.

Solved!

Home Body, references to Thomas Kinkade are always funnier when followed with the tagline: Painter of Light™

=-)
