The home design/art shop in Andersonville, Haus, has significantly grown since its Oct. '06 opening. We stopped in last week, spoke with owner Greg Steffans about the artists he represents in the shop and the new work coming in for the summer.

Thanks to glass artists F2 for sending us some insider's info when the shop opened:

Our glass will be on sale there, in addition to some amazing ceramicists, furniture designers (including Nevin Peters, who was at the Guerilla Truck show), and jewelry designers. All of the work that owner Greg Steffens sells is handmade and there are lots of local artists as well. He has done a great job of curating the space and Haus is really a great addition to the ever-changing Andersonville neighborhood.

Haus features "traditional fine crafts for contemporary homes," (in the words of Steffens). The lineup includes ceramics by Sue Ellen Parker, Liz Kinder, Monica Ripley, and Jeff Landford; pillows and accessories by Agnes and Hoss; furniture by Bladon Conner; and glass by Dylan & Amy Engler.

The work looks great, but that slide show could use some editing. Lots of repeat photographs.

saha:
there are no repeat photos in the slideshow. we included many angles and pics of the objects, because with work that detailed we think it's great to see as much as possible!

Haus has great work. In March a friend of a friend showed there: Emily Murphy of sodafired.com I have two sets of friends who have done their wedding registry through her and I can say that her work is quite lovely, having eaten meals from her dishes. Both sets of friends were thrilled with the dinnerware and other dishes that Emily made for them. It's all custom work!
