We love a lot of what we see at Jayson Home & Garden, but we can't always afford it. That's one reason why we're drawn to these antique bird and insect prints - they're all under $200. Still not cheap, but within reason for these rare finds...

The bird prints shown in the top photo are framed reproductions of drawings from the 1700s. They're 14 x 20 inches, priced at $185 each.

These small antique insect prints date back to the late 1700s and are priced at $78 each. Two or three together would look great, either alone or hung with a cluster of artwork.

Handmade bird block prints are $42 each, 4 x 4 inches. These have some depth to them, and would be great on a mantelpiece.

If you are looking for a less expensive but equally pretty alternative, I saw some very nice bird prints at World Market the other day.

... or you could take a look at used book stores. You might find several full color, full page images you like from an ornithological study, and at a much lower price than these reproductions.

The best place for antique prints is ebay. I've bought loads over the years and they are unique and lovely. Also great for old maps.

Under $200? What a deal!
Davidas is right. Bookstore bargain bins are full of oversized collections of botanical prints and even charts. Some people are even clipping pages to sell as individual art prints on eBay.
Others are framing them and selling them in home decor boutiques.

Even spending the uder $200 prices quoted above it WAY too much for this artwork.
You could simply buy a Dover Collection CD and print yourself.
I also scour used bookstores for illustrated manuals.
