Look!: Andy Warhol "Giant" Size

While visiting our friendly neighborhood library the other day, we found quite a large book sticking out of a shelf. Upon closer examination, we were thrilled to see it was a book on Andy Warhol. It was Andy Warhol "Giant" Size to be exact.

The book, published by Phaidon Press is a beautiful presentation of Andy Warhol photos, clippings, ticket stubs, paperwork, quotes and memorabilia from his early years as a shoe illustrator to his very last days. Basically, if Andy Warhol himself had kept a scrapbook, this is what it would look like.

This bad mamma jamma weighs 15 pounds (we actually put it on our bathroom scale) and comes in at over 600 pages. There is so much packed into every page, you can literally spend your entire day looking though this great collection.

Warhol cheekily said, "Oh, art is too hard," but by looking at his life through this book, you'd never know it.

We have it here at work. It's too heavy.
Flirt with someone and make them carry it home for you.

Weasel Dearest, so true! After I said I wanted to check out the book, I hear a thud and look over to see my three-year-old kid dragging it across the library floor trying to carry it for me.

i don't think it's a terrific book, but it's priced well for its size
