This Week's Assignment: In the Deep Treatment we tackle the Living Room. For some of you this may be a big deal, for others it may not be as much trouble. Either way, this is probably the time to tackle your BOOKS. These are a very pesky element that can be hard to edit. You're also cooking at home 3x this week. If you would like encouragement or recipes, head over to The Kitchen, where daily support and inspiration is provided.
The One Room Workout gets to tackling shopping and considering Carb and Protein furniture if you haven't already. I urge you to buy quality when you shop. In addition, if you are entering prices into a shopping list/spreadsheet, don't forget that we have these available here for you to use.
Good Links in our Flickr Pool:
• Welcome to wallrunner and LaPocha.
• vt bbt has a new bedroom!
• designisaverb has uploaded a bunch of photos into her style tray.
• Francesca has clean, decluttered cabinets.
Info: The Cure posts will go up three times a week on Mondays (with the thread carried through on Wednesdays) and then on Fridays, allowing for plenty of comment space. We will be pulling comments and pics to the front page post each week and everyone is urged to take pics and post them to this great Flickr pool or simply tag them with "apartmenttherapycurechicago." At the end of the Cure, I'll be putting together a slideshow of the before-and-after progress of many of our Curers.
(The last post is here - all Worksheets are here - The Book Blog is here)
I've just posted photos of my new landing strip to both Flickr and to my blog. The Flickr ones are linked in my profile, the blog is http://serenityathome.blogspot.com
I also added an "After" pic of my kitchen and of the storage room (never posted a before pic of it!), as well as a couple other things.
I don't have a lot to do in the living room this week, mainly putting up pictures, so I'm going to also start on the Home Office (aka Study, aka Writing Room) -- it'll take more than just one week, I'm sure. I've detailed it all on my blog.

I've been in a state of low psychological energy this week, and have done approximately nothing, despite the fact that my living room is very much in need of help. So I came home for lunch today (love being able to do that!) and just straightened things up for a solid 20 minutes. And, know what? That helped. It's getting the first 5% and the last 5% done that I always struggle with, I think.

Good for you, Mella! I'm in a similar rut at the moment - really busy with work and coming home lacking the motivation to do anything but vegetate. I'm hoping to get more done this weekend, and I did clean out my mail tray last night and straightened up a bit.

By the way - thanks for posting the picture of my bathroom! It's exciting to see it up there but a little scary, because, as you say, it is still very much in progress and looking at the all-encompassing whiteness just depresses me. I'm trying my best to add color but I really wish I could paint.

mavieenrose-thoese blik decals might be a way to add color to the bathroom. You can custom order your own colors
