Our love for Spray Paint has been well documented here on AT. It's no mystery that it serves as our quick (and inexpensive) fix for most any home decor that is struggling to find it's inner outter beauty. Recently we discovered that our favorite brand (seen above) has been discontinued to our complete disbelief. What is a consumer to do? Click through the jump to let us know what your favorite hard to find or discontinued product is!
After calling the Kilz Customer Service (who was highly knowledgeable we might add) people, we did discover *tear* that our beloved Spray Paint, the Kilz Casual Colors has in fact been discontinued. We were hoping that it was just difficult to find, for in that case a road trip would just be in order. But sadly we have learned that it is only available to professionals (for spraying roads and marking gas lines) from business-minded websites.
We feel as though nothing else (under $12 a can) will ever do the trick... and are seeking out support groups for those of us feeling the same sting. (We will take this time to note out loud the heavy shadow of sarcasm in the last sentence)
Have you ever gone through product withdrawl? Which things are you still sad to see gone from the retail shelves and have you found anything to replace it? Let us know below!

I agree! I bought the Kilz satin nickel spray paint on clearance a few months ago and was able to transform two ceiling fans that we were going to trash, saving as a bunch of money. It was the only satin nickel finish spray paint that actually looked convincing...the other brands look so fake!
I've been searching high and low for a replacement...any ideas?

Maybe it was found to be toxic and detrimental to the enviroment.

On last week's Martha Stewart show, Martha was showing off a "spray at any angle" hi-gloss Rust-Oleum spray paint. Never used it, so I'm not sure if it's any good.

Thanks unseeneclipse!! I'll scout around there!

Lori, in that case there would never be any spray paint available and we would all have to crush berries to get natural paint dyes or something.

Somedude,
I like that idea. It certainly worked for many centuries...

When I made my wedding registry I asked for a silverware starter kit that had four place settings, matching serving utensils, and a bamboo utensil tray. I also tacked on a supplement kit that had just the regular silverware for four more place settings. Someone bought us the supplement kit and no one got us the whole kit.
After being tired of washing the spoons pretty much after each use and not having any really big spoons for serving, my husband and I decided to dish out the money necessary to get the whole kit. We waited a year (biggest mistake) before doing so, and now it's discontinued.
We managed to find something similar in style (but just silverware and serving utensils) and bought a separate bamboo utensil tray. But if you hold the two kinds together, you can definitely tell a difference.

thanks for the tip on the paint in general and for the tips on big lots.
went to my local one today, and there they were. with they had the colors you show above though... I got a few cans of glossy black, one satin black (all they had) and some of a darker red in gloss. I really wanted bright red to do my desk and white for general use. The black will be fine for things though. $1.80 a can, can't beat that for good paint, that's why i stocked up. Wish i had another one nearby to check out their selection.
if you go to the link below you get a coupon for 20% off whatever you buy at biglots. Hence my stock up. Brings it down to 1.44 a can and got a few other things on the cheap too, duct tape, zip ties, heavy duty picture hanging kit...
