Free (Desktop) Wallpaper

We all know that wallpaper has made a resurgence in the home but what about desktop wallpaper?

Squidfingers, a graphic designer from Tennessee, supplies 158 pretty and FREE patterns for your computer.

Graffiti Wallpaper offers some lovely nature and food options but we're really excited about their texture grouping, which is where we found the Green Tile wallpaper.

We then came across Free BG Shop, a Japanese online store that provides FREE wallpapers and icons, inspired by real-life products, such as Marimekko placemats.

Here's another one...

This site is mostly about Linux but it does have some cool artistic non-computer specific wallpaper. I get a lot of my wallpapers there, especially since there's no BS about needing to register, or cookies, or spyware that the big wallpaper sites all seem to use these days.

We had this discussion a few months ago on Home Tech, and many readers recommended Mandolux I have been an addict ever since, there are some pretty fabulous photos.
