"A happy mood for nurseries and children’s rooms is provided by a variety of colourful Marimekko fabrics, and duvet covers and bedspreads of the Mini-Unikko and Pikku Bo Boo series. Both series also include bibs, mugs, plates, trays and aprons.
Oiva Toikka has made Opari, a reduced version of his Afrikan kuningatar (Queen of Africa) children’s fabric pattern. In addition to oilcloth and cotton fabrics, Opari also appears in bed linen, tableware and other kitchen products."

i just realized a few yars ago, but my brother and i had pikku bo boo sheets as little kids! i always thought they were such a fun pattern... i'm glad my mom had the good design sense to buy them!
Ooo, the green of that wall! What paint, what color? I lust after it...
in Chicago you can see many Marimekko products at The Sweden Shop (3304 W Foster) Click on my name for someone else's blogging about said amazing shop.
I love Marimekko soooooo much and love it that their designs can travel along for an entire lifetime.
totally..green on the wall/paint color...must have...right now
i love that room!
I agree the room looks nice, the only thing that gets under my skin are the extraordinarily overpriced Mayday Lamps.
They are basically plastic work lamps, like you would find at Home Depot, only a bit more stylish, and at $128.00 they are about ten times the price for a simular lamp at Home Depot, and a huge rip off.
Yet another example of design for the rich. Maybe if they were like $39.00, they they would only be about three times the price of a Home Depot work lamp, and maybe worth it for the design. I find it hilarious that DWR suggests using them in multiple for keeping your patio illuminated.
Does anyone know who makes the light hanging on the tree branches?
I'm in the market for a kids' bed. Can anyone tell where the bed in the pciture comes from?
"nalle" is what they call winnie the pooh in scandi-lands. you can make out some of the characters in this picture. much better than the disney crap!
