These compact, heavy-duty racks take their name from trains, where they served as tiny "closets" for passengers. We can just imagine Cary Grant in North by Northwest hanging his suit on one of them. They're also great in the bathroom, where they can handle towels, robes, and other staples...

Target has a lovely and comparable train rack for $25 http://www.target.com/Classic-Train-Rack-Brushed-Nickel/dp/B001NKYL10/sr=1-2/qid=1236883191/ref=sr_1_2/178-7373857-7895801?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k%3Atrain%20rack&page=1

We have one of these in our bathroom. It looks nice, but I would prefer a solid shelf for more flexibility in what it can store.

As mentioned by a previous poster, I also like the ikea GRUNDTAL rack.

I just put 2 in my laundry room and they are amazing for holding wet/damp clothes on hangers. I put a basket up top for clothes waiting to be ironed, etc.

Any ideas on pairing a train rack with lighting? The only available space in my bathroom is where my current lighting fixture is.

The one pictured in the post has nice hooks. The ones at Target do not have them. It think the hooks makes them more useful.
