This blanket has the basics covered: wool for warmth and shots of the primary colors for, uh, color. This one available from Eddie Bauer celebrates Jim Whittaker:

This commemorative blanket celebrates the expedition of Jim Whittaker, who on May 1, 1963, became the first American to reach the summit of Mount Everest. His expedition was fully outfitted by Eddie Bauer. Made by Pendleton® Woolen Mills exclusively for Eddie Bauer, this blanket represents our reuniting with two American legends once again. ($169)
...just looks too much like the classic version of the Hudson Bay Point blanket...http://www.hbc.com/hbcheritage/history/blanket/

Actually, the colors aren't just there for color's sake... they represent Whittaker's gear for the 1963 ascent: red for his down parka, blue for the down pants, and yellow for his boots.
