We can't let Bedroom month go by without a mention of
Denyse Schmidt. A leader in modern quilt design, her work is unusual and beautiful - and she is inclusive in her range of products, something that we really like to see.
Her business model includes the very high end "couture quilts", her medium to high priced "Works" series and the more accessible "DS Designs" series. Denyse doesn't leave out the diy crowd either, she holds workshops, has a how-to and pattern book of her signature styles, a quilt-it kit and is now also designing quilting fabrics. we keen eyes took a workshop with denyse. she is such an inspiration. her studio alone is worth the trip, but the workshop was fantastic - highly recommended.
