Do NOT buy down comforters from Overstock.com!!!! I ordered two not long ago and there is a reason they are available from the site that specializes in "seconds". The comforters had square baffles sewn in which is what I wanted, but only about half of the baffles contained down. The others were empty. Of course the ones that were stuffed were around the edges and not in the middle covering the people sleeping. Such a waste of money.
After the comforter problem, ordering a few books that came with mangled covers, and it taking 3 months to get refunded for dvds that were never sent to me, I vowed to never buy anything from Overstock.com again. You can find good deals elsewhere on first quality merchandise if you look enough.

I've had good and bad experiences with Overstock. And I think the rule is, don't ever try to return anything. I only buy if the price is low enough that I wouldn't care if it sucked. So I've gotten some crap sets of sheets that I only keep for emergencies, and I've gotten some great stuff that was a ridiculous steal, given the fantastic quality. Total crapshoot.

Like Emmers says - Overstock is hit and miss.
I've ordered sheets that have pilled on the first wash and I've received sheets from them that have lasted years. I've also ordered clothing from them that I've been extremely happy with.
Once I purchased an expensive watch through them and UPS delivered it by dropping it outside the front door of my apartment building. (Or keeping it for himself - Who knows?)
At any rate, I received a refund very quickly.

Sorry about your bad experience, but I've had great experiences with Overstock as well. Haven't bought a down comforter (Florida), but did buy a featherbed, and several duvet sets.

I've had all good experiences with Overstock- my comforter & featherbed would still be in use now if I hadn't gotten a larger bed, my lone pair of platinum earrings are still wonderful, and the leather bench I got from them is still working admirably as a coffee table. Plus, the cheapness of their shipping is a joy to behold

I ordered my down comforter from Overstock 4 years ago, and it's still as good as new. The shipping prices are really low and I was happy with the quality, especially for the price.
I'm looking at upgrading to a larger bed, so I'm glad that you guys reminded me of Overstock for new bedding. :)

I have ordered a ton of stuff from Overstock and on the whole have been satisfied. Movado watch, sheets and more. The satin sheet set I ordered was much too shallow for my deep mattress, so that was a big disappointment, but they were very inexpensive. Everything else I've been very satisfied with. Basically, I say always read the reviews and don't buy anything that's so expensive that you'll be really disappointed if is sucks.
