Kantha Quilt

2008-01-11-quilt.jpg
A modern color block quilt from Pottery Barn. The Kantha Quilt and Sham is made using Indian Kantha embroidery, which PB describes as "layers of cotton voile pieced together with tiny pick stitches". We like the colors and the overall look in photos - has anyone seen these in person?

The quilt is priced from $199. - 249. (twin through king) and the shams are $39-49 (standard/euro).

Available from Pottery Barn.

I haven't seen this particular quilt .. .but I've seen lots of others, and I worry about Pottery Barn's "pick stitches" (or running stitches, when they're larger and longer). It looks to me like once one stitch gets snagged and broken, the entire thing will start coming out. Anyone have any experience with these recent Pottery Barn quilts?
