In Your Face Color: Lanni's Bedroom Tour

pink.jpg Have you ever seen a bedroom that had the same vibrant personality as the person who inhabited it? If not, you're about to. Meet 19yr old Lanni. Her bedroom is bright, bold and brought together with great uses of black and white to offset her almost neon color choices. Wanna see more? Click through the jump to check out some fantastic uses of color in a small space.

011209lanni8.jpg Your highschool and college years aren't exactly the time in your life where you are decorating your walls and floors with big name designers. Instead, they are usually the times when you are scraping by, just trying to make do and inject a little pizazz into your life while you're trying to figure out which direction you're really headed.
Lanni has done a great job with keeping things simple, but making do with what she has while keeping things fresh and fun! No one said a shoe-string budget had to frumpy and dull did they? Her room has great uses of chalkboard paint, magnetic paint, organization, color! Click the link below to see more!

Thanks Lanni!

Awesome :) Very bright and cheerful, a room with Personality. I love the pez collection and all the cacti. The polaroid collection looks amazing too.
The only thing I don't really like is the Twilight poster but that's just because I have a dislike for Twilight, not so much as a judgement on the poster itself (it's not visible enough to judge on its own).

awwww, you make me miss my "F* You Catholic School!" pink/purple/blue/orange/green hair 17-19. I miss those dirty faux-rude girl days. If I ever lose my job, i'm gonna get a "F* YOU Corporate world!" dye job. The organization is great in the room. I think if it were typical teenage messy, it all might be too much.

Okay, the aligned Polaroids are just too too cool. Why did Kodak discontinue such a wonderful product? Booooo!!!

I totally tried to do this orange/pink combo in my daughters room and didn't hit the target. This one looks great and proves that it can be done. Orange and pink DO look great together! And your hair totally kicks ass!

Cool room. Lanni gets extra points from me for having such a tidy, clean and well-organized room. Very creative use of space and tons of personality. Way better than a lot of the recent home tours.

Oh Lanni. How cool are you now? May I add that your "coolness" is in fact directly contributed from me. Yeah. Who's room was that? That's right. Mine. My orange and pink, my chalkboard wall, my little desk nook.

The secrets out. I'm awesome too

Love the room! I love orange and pink together. And I love your hair, too. I'm a 25 year old stay at home mom, but my hair is also hot pink.

I love it! super hip! I am wondering where you got the shelves for your pez collection? I have a pez collection and I just have it all boxed up because I can never figure out how to display it! Thanks!

Neat XD This is like the third time I've seen something on LJ that's later appeared here. AT editors, do you stalk saucydwellings?

As for this room, love it, love it, loved it every time it's been posted. Hell yes, younger people can have awesome, colourful, interesting, ORGANISED rooms!

Really an awesome room! I am not a big neon colors fan, but you knocked this out of the park, the city and the universe!!! Oh, and I must know where you got the big brown chair (I am in hunt for the perfect chair so I must ask!)

Rock on!

Great post (envy inducing but wonderful). The space is pop-tart pretty and the photography captures the energy perfectly. What a cool kid. Nice.

I love the sunglasses display on the hanger! I have so many pairs of vintage sunglasses and love this idea for both storing and displaying. Awesome!

Born at the end of the 80s, but you obviously didn't miss out. ;) Wish I could have been this creative and bold with my room when I lived at home.

I'd be scared that the books fall down on my head when there's an earthquake or something else happening.

Is the customization on the Macbook selfmade or can you buy such premade stickers and keyboards?

i don't have to worry about earthquakes or anything, luckily. and the shelves are very sturdy, so i'm not concerned about them becoming disconnected from the wall.

the keyboard cover is from http://iskin.com, and the pink handrest cover is from http://macstyles.com : )
