Inspiration: Attic Bedrooms from the Lloyd Hotel

A converted attic or upper story can make a beautiful bedroom with the right layout and natural light. If you need convincing, check out the Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam. Filled with bedrooms perched up high, the Lloyd's top floor features skylights, angled walls, and open floor plans that make us dream of our own renovated attic room...

Located in Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands Area, the Hotel is a 1921 building that's been renovated to accommodate sleeping quarters as well as a cultural embassy. A few of our favorite spaces:

Ha! A hotel in my hometown featured on AT! This building used to be a youth correction center. When renovating, the current owners asked several Dutch designers to decorate a room. Some rooms are much more outrageous than what the above pictures show.
