Simple Bedroom Vanity

This is one of the simplest ideas we've seen in a while: a bedroom vanity made from a wooden table, antique mirror, and mismatched chair. Although the components are plain, the proportions and details are unexpected...

The similar lengths of the mirror and table create a sense of weight and heft. (You could also achieve a more formal look by hanging the mirror on the wall, just an inch or so above the table.) The wire chair balances the solidity of the wood, and the patterned pillows soften the arrangement. We also love the stacks of striped cushions on the nearby chest.

Other good ideas from this bedroom include a headboard created from hanging Kuba cloths and a runner used to accent the foot of the bed. For more photos from this home, visit Light Locations.

I love that room - the shape reminds me of a ground floor bedroom in a farmhouse. I wouldn't be able to resist adding blue to the ceiling and art to the walls though.

absolutely beautiful- basically what I want my dream room to be in my dream house. the vanity reminds me a lot of the vanity that Rebecca Hall's character has in Vicky Christina Barcelona (although I haven't been able to find any pictures as a reference---any help in that regard?)

I've been looking for a table exactly like that for the past 3 months for a desk but the idea to use it as a vanity is cool - me likey! And the room is cool too!
